Day 1 Kathmandu (1300 m)

Arrival in Kathmandu, reception at the airport by your agent and transfer to your hotel. Late afternoon guided walk through the old neighborhoods and around the former royal palace in Kathmandu

Day 2 Kathmandu

Tour. Starting to go to the famous stupa of Boudhanath, the largest in the world, and the Mecca of Tibetan Buddhism. Then, continue to Patan, the ancient capital royal. This city is a veritable outdoor museum with its palaces, pagodas, monasteries, temples and shrines. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3Syabrubensi (1400 m/9h drive)

Departure by bus early in the morning. The road is long but the scenery is very interesting. En route you will see the Ganesh Himal massif and the terrace cultivation of Nepalese rice.

Day 4 Rimche (2550m/6h30 walk)

After crossing the Bhote Kosi, we take a little used trail that passes through many Tamang and Tibetan villages. We go along with fields of millet focussing, the Kirun, Tibetan massif.

Day 5Langtang (3670 m/5h30 walk)

Climb through the forest of bamboos, oaks and rhododendrons, following the Langtang river. After Ghore Tabela, the landscape changes. After the village of Thankgsyap we will see the Langtang Lirung, the Gangchenpo and Yala Peak. Arriving at the village of Langtang, the largest of the valley, with its stone houses, its yoghurt and cheese bread factory at Nak.

Day 6Kyangjin gompa (3900 m/3h30 walk)

Walk slowly to acclimatise. The prayer flags, the chorten and prayer walls will welcome you .We are surrounded by mountains. We spend our time at the Tibetan village of Mondu and Shingdum before reaching Kyangjin. After lunch we will visit the monastery and the cheese factory. Opportunity to walk to the glacier in Langtang.

Day 7Kyangjin gompa

Rest or opportunity to go to Tserko RI (4980m) (3 hour climb) for one of the best views of the peaks of the valley: Langtang, the Marimoto the Gangchenpo, Shisha Pangma (8000 m), Dorje Lakpa, Yala Peak and Naya Kang, etc …). It’s 360 degrees of mountains around you.

Day 8 Lama hotel (2600 m/4h30 walk)

Descend down stage and walk in the forest. You may see monkeys from Assam.

Day 9 Syabru (2350m/5h walk)

We go down to Bamboo Lodge. Then we go back through the cornfields and potato fields until we come to a very beautiful village of Yolmo Syabru. The windows of the old houses are carved. Visit the monastery with beautiful redone paintings. Beautiful views of the Paldor, Ganesh Himal and the Tibetan peaks.

Day 10 Shin Gompa (3350 m/4h walk)

The slope is steep to reach Dussagong and the locality of Foprang Kopra. Lunch in an extraordinary panorama in a Swiss Chalet Lodge. Continuation of walk in the forest that is home to red pandas before arriving at Shin Gompa monastery which means wood. There is also a cheese factory.

Day 11 Gosainkund (4320 m/5h walk)

Walk in the height,a climb but enjoyable. Enjoy lunch at Laurebiniak (4026 m) witnessing the extraordinary panorama of the Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and the massive Tibetan Beautiful overhanging path and then walk along a rock wall to reach the sacred lakes .A creation of lord Shiva and it is putative that he had and left the imprint of his feet. Thousands of pilgrims gather in August. Stroll around the lakes or be prepared to climb a small hill (100m plus) to enjoy the 360-degree view of a landscape of high mountains and glacial lakes.

Day 12 GHOPTE (3430 m/7h30) or Tharepati (3500 m / 9:30 or walking)

Difficult day. Slow rise along with lakes and views of the mountains to the Col de Laurebinak (4600 m) surely snow, and prayer flags (4600m). Steep descend up to Phedi (3600m). It is a succession of ups and downs in the forest that leads you to the Lodge of Gopte. Depending on your form, or we’ll stop there in the lodge very rustic, yet we walk 2h on a mountain trail to reach Russian Tharepati. Located on a ridge overlooking the valley of Rolwaling near Everest, you still enjoy an impressive panorama with Gangchenpo, Shisha Pangma, the Jugul Himal, Dorje Lakpa and Numbur.

Day 13Melemchigaon (2550 m/2h30 or 5h)

Very steep descend to the village surrounded by Melemchi crops. Visit the monastery and stroll through the village with beautiful houses with flowers. Well deserved rest after the tiring walk.

Day 14 Tarkhegyang (2550 m/3h walk)

Steep descent to the river Melemchi before rising up through the fields and Tarkhekyang villaage the main village of Helambu.

Day 15 Yangri Danda (3770 m/5h A / R)-Tarkegyang

Rest and walk around the village or climb on Yangri Danda, the Mecca pilgrimage of Buddhists.

Day 16 Kakani (2000 m/5h walk)

Finally a little flat walk to the village of Gonkiul. Pass through villages and, terraced fields on this beautiful day.

Day 17 Melemchi (980 m/2h walk) - Kathmandu (1300 m/3h drive)

Rice field and banana trees appear. The population changes. We are in the hotter region. Transfer by private vehicle to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
