Itinerary

Day 1Kathmandu (1300 m)

Arrival in Kathmandu, reception at the airport by your agent and transfer to your hotel. Late afternoon guided walk through the old neighbourhoods and around the former royal palace in Kathmandu

Day 2Kathmandu (1300 m)

Tour. Starting to go to the famous stupa of Boudhanath, the largest in the world, and the Mecca of Tibetan Buddhism. Then, continue to Patan, the ancient royal capital. This city is a veritable outdoor museum with its palaces, pagodas, monasteries, temples and shrines.

Day 3Birethanti (1000 m 20 min walk)

Early morning departure by private bus to Nayapul (7 h transport), along the Trisuli River. At Nayapul, we go for short walk stepping along the terrace cultivation.

Day 4Ulleri (2200 m 5hrs walk)

Climb the famous stairs passing through several villages in Nepal. Surely we will meet the caravans of mules.

Day 5Ghorepani (2835 m 6hrs walk)

A few more steps before you notice change in the landscape. We leave the terrace cultivation to reach the forest of rhododendrons and arrive at the Magar village of Ghorepani where the view is beautiful over looking the Annapurna and the Macchapuchare.

Day 6 Tatopani (1180 m 6hrs walk)

Step downwards descending through terraced agriculture and Gurung villages. Cross two suspension bridges over the kali gandaki river to get to our stage. Tatopani means hot water in Nepali.

Day 7 Ghasa (2000 m 5hrs walk)

We enter the gorge of the Kali Gandaki. Caught between two giants of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna it is the deepest gorge in the world.Rise along the river. Enter the country of Thakali. Pass it Through the forest and you now reach our destination. We enter the land of the apple.

Day 8 Tukuche (2580 m 6hrs walk)

After crossing a coniferous forest, reminiscent of Switzerland, the landscape becomes more arid and mineral. At Larjung, we spend our time at the foot of the Dhaulagiri icefall and the Nilgiris (6000m) linking their peaks. The architecture of villages vary and white houses with flat roofs would be emerging. Apple orchards and apricot replace the fields of céréales.Tukuche is our base for tonight. This large village was an important step on the salt route between Tibet and India. This was also the base camp of Mr. Herzog during his attempt to conquer the Dhaulagiri.

Day 9 Thinigaon (2880 m 5hrs walk)

We leave the trail and cross the Kali Gandaki. We spend some time at a Tibetan refugee camp and on the other side, we dominate the town of Marfa and its monastery. After visiting a small monastery,we arrive at the place of our accommodation in the evening.

Day 10 Kagbeni (2900 m 4hrs 30min walk)

Small detour to visit the Syang nunnery. Before reaching Jomsom, we pass through many prayer walls. We leave the classic route to visit the village of Lupra, and his monastery of the XI. We are in the gateway to the prohibited Mustang to Kagbeni. Opportunity to visit the monastery of the village all red.

Day 11 Muktinath-Jharkot (3700 m 5hrs walk)

Departure to Muktinath, the Mecca pilgrimage for Hindus and Buddhists. Superb views of Dhaulagiri and Tukuche peak. Step in and visit the fortified village of Jharkot, where you might run into the King of Mustang!

Day12 Jomosoom (2500 m 5hrs walk)

We leave the main trail and cross the Kali Gandaki. Uphill to the village of Dhagarjung before reaching the main town of the province of Mustang: Jomsoom

Day 13 Pokhara

Morning flight to Pokhara. Visit fewa lakeside Pokhara . Leisure time
Night in hotel

Day 14 Kathmandu

In the late morning fly back to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel and free time for shopping

Day 15Departure

Departure for the airport of Kathmandu with lots of beautiful memories.
