Trek Highlights:
This short trek, accessible to all, leads you to the heart of the Annapurna peaks via 2 base camps. You’ll experience a mini-kaleidoscope of Nepal with its traditional villages, terraced fields, bamboo and rhododendron forests, and magical mountains.
Arrival in Kathmandu, where you are welcomed by our staff outside the terminal and transfer to your hotel. Late afternoon, enjoy a guided walking tour through the narrow lanes of the old city. Discover the colorful and bustling local bazars and Durbar square, the site of the ancient royal palace, full of temples and monuments.

We climb the famous Nepali steps from Shiaule Bazaar to reach the traditional Gurung village of Gandrung. Gandrung is the largest Gurung village in the region full of traditional houses with slate roofs of the old part.

Long descent towards the Kiurung Khola and we cross the river on a suspension bridge. Then long climb up on stairs to Chomrong. It is the last village you’ll encounter before entering the sanctuary. You’ll be rewarded with beautiful mountains like Annapurna South, Himchuli and Machapuchare (the mystical ‘fish tail’ peak)

We’ll cross the Modi Khola river and spend the day walking up through a thick bamboo and oak forest.

Today you’ll experience a change of scenery with sub-alpine vegetation. The valley opens up. Tonight you spend the night at the Macchapuchare base camp surrounded by mountains.

Today is the big day. You will set off early to admire the sunrise at the Annapurna South base camp. Breakfast facing the Annapurna and very long and steep descent to warmer climate.
