Itinerary

Day 1 Kathmandu (1300 m)

Arrival in Kathmandu, reception at the airport by your agent and transfer to your hotel. Late afternoon guided walk through the old neighborhoods and around the former royal palace in Kathmandu
Night in hotel with breakfast and dinner in a Tibetan restaurant.

Day 2 Kathmandu Valley

We begin our visit with the stupa and temples on the hill of Swayambhunath. Then we go to visit the old Kathmandu and its royal square to see the beautiful temples and the house of Newars and the temple of the living goddess of Nepal: Kumari. Walk through the bazaars and shopping district of Asan. Then we will spend the night at Boudhanath, the heart of Tibetan culture, with its many monasteries and the largest stupa in Nepal. This is a Mecca for pilgrimage and each day thousands of devotees come to shop around.

Day 33rd Day Nagarkot (2000 m) 45 km 1 hrs drive M1

After breakfast, depart for the mini Benares India: Pashupatinath. You will meet many ascetics, the famous “saddhus” and will walk among the Hindu pilgrims. We then visit the temples and stupas in Swoyambunath which mixes the two major religions in Nepal: Buddhism and Hinduism. Free lunch in Thamel, the tourist district. Earlier this afternoon, after a briefing with our road captain, we mount the Enfield to reach Nagarkot, where you can view one of the best views of the Himalayas. We will see the sunset

Day 4Dhulikhel (1550 m) 112 km 2-3 hrs drive M2

After breakfast and after have attending the sunrise, we take the bikes and negotiating with the heavy traffic of the Kathmandu Valley buses and cars we reach Bhaktapur. Check into your hotel and walk around the town of Dhulikhel where you can watch the sunset over the mountains of Himalchuli up Everest.

Day 5 Charikot (2500 m) 110 km 4 hrs drive M3

We follow the road Arniko Highway that runs to the border of Tibet. We cross the river and take the road which leads to Jiri, the starting point of the trek to Everest. We will step in Charikot, the capital of the region. Great views of the Gauri Shankar and Dorje Lakpa we will also visit the holy temple of Dolhaka.

Day 6 Bhaktapur (1200 m) 130 km 5hrs drive M4

Depart for the ancient royal city of Bhaktapur, world-heritage site . En-route we stop to visit the temple of Changu Narayan, one of the oldest in the valley. Arrival at Bhaktapur, open-air museum! Visit its wonderful buildings and spaces to the potters’ quarter. You will feel like being transported back to several centuries

Day 7Kopan (1400m) 30 km 1hrs 30min M5

We leave with regret that city which brings us back to the Middle Ages. We leave for Kopan Buddhist enclave. Visit the nunnery where the nuns produce incense. We will discover the temples in the company of a monk and there will be a puja (ceremony) especially for us.

Day 8Bandipur (1100 m) 130 km 4-5 hrs drive M6

We leave the Kathmandu valley by a zigzag road down before reaching Trisuli River. We will stop to take the cable car up to the temple of Manakamana. Great views of rural Nepal with terraced agriculture and the valley of the Marsyangdi and Trisuli. After lunch , we reach the village of Dumre. We take a zigzag road to climb to the Newar village of Bandipur.

Day 9 Pokhara (900m) 80 km 3-4 hrs drive M7

Departure to Pokhara, “the Nepalese Riviera with its lake which reflect the tops of the Himalayan peaks. Boat trips and free time to stroll by the lake.
Overnight at Hotel Trek O Tel or similar with breakfast

Day 10Tansen (1350m) 126 km 3-4 hrs drive M8

Departure for Sarangot and attend the sunrise on Annapurna. After breakfast, drive to Tansen.Visit Amar Narayan Temple, the great door of Baggi Dhoka and the small temple Bhagwati having great fervor. The rise of a small path allows you to have a beautiful view of the Himalayas and the valley of the Madi. You have to walk through the cobbled streets (reminiscent of some neighborhoods in Kathmandu but without the cars!). Overnight at hotel with breakfast at Srinagar

Day 11 Chitwan 160 km 3-4 hrs drive M9

Departure for Chitwan reserve, located in the tropical region south of Nepal: the Terai. Former royal reserve, it is now home to threatened species such as one horned rhinos, leopards or tigers last. In the afternoon, early activities with local guides who are also the mahouts of elephants.

Day 12 Chitwan

Following activities in the national park, boat tour to go and meet Gharials (small crocodiles) and elephant ride to go and track down rhino or if you’re lucky a Bengal tiger.

Day 13 Kathmandu 150 km of road about 5am M10

Today, we will find ourselves in the bustle of Kathmandu and horns. Free time for shopping
