This trek is a fascinating journey to the heart of an area recently opened to trekkers and which has preserved its traditions. You will stay for several nights amongst the inhabitants of the villages or in community Lodges. This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourselves in the culture of Himalayan people. After Rasuwa, you join the Langtang valley and its magnificent Himalayan peaks

Itinerary

Day 1 Kathmandu (1300 m)

Arrival in Kathmandu, reception at the airport by your agent and transfer to your hotel. Late afternoon guided walk through the old neighborhoods and around the former royal palace in Kathmandu

Day 2 Kathmandu (1300 m)

Tour. Starting to go to the famous stupa of Boudhanath, the largest in the world, and the Mecca of Tibetan Buddhism. Then, continue to Patan, the ancient royal capital. This city is a veritable outdoor museum with its palaces, pagodas, monasteries, temples and shrines.

Day 3Syabrubensi (1400 m 9hrs drive)

Departure by bus early in the morning. The road is long but the scenery is very interesting. En route you will see the Ganesh Himal massif and other Himalayan ranges.

Day 4Goljung (2340m 3hrs walk)

We climb the trail to reach our first tamang village. We arrive there late in the morning and we first encounter with Tamang culture in this traditional village.
Overnight in community Lodge built by the villagers.

Day 5 Tatopani (2600 m 5hrs walk)

Walk across the Tamang country and terrace cultivation. At Gatlang we can walk to the sacred lake called Parvati Kund. We will resume our journey to reach the hot springs and enjoy a good bath.

Day 6 Thuman (2340 5hrs 30min walk)

We cross the pine forest and the village to join Brimdang Nagthali, and from its summit we view the Tibetan panorama chain of Langtang. Descent towards our stop for the night to Thuman.

Day 7Timure (1760 m 6hrs walk)

We Descend down to the river Kerung khola and continue our walk until we reach Dalphedi Timure, the last village in the valley and the near by border crossing Tibet nearby.

Day 8Bridim (2300 m 3hrs walk)

Walk along the river and after a climb to the small village of Lingling, we arrive early to enjoy our visit at village Bridim. You will be welcomed by the committee of villagers.They will welcome you by putting the Khata around your neck. Then you will be placed in different families for the night. Each house accommodates visitors.

Day 9 Rimche (2600 m 5hrs walk)

We rejoin the classic route of the Langtang valley. Step into the forest.

Day 10 Langtang (3670 m 5hrs 30min walk)

Climb through the forest of bamboos, oaks and rhododendrons, following the Langtang river. After Ghore Tabela, the landscape changes. Crossing the village of Thankgsyap we will see the Langtang Lirung, the Gangchenpo and Yala Peak. Arriving at the village of Langtang, the largest of the valley, with its stone houses,we will see its yoghurt and cheese bread factory at Nak.

Day 11 Kyangjin gompa (3900 m 3hrs 30min walk)

Walk slowly to acclimatise. The prayer flags, the chorten and prayer walls keep on changing. We are surrounded by mountains. We spend the Tibetan village of Mondu and Shingdum before reaching Kyangjin. After lunch we will visit the monastery and the cheese factory. Opportunity to walk to the glacier Langtang.

Day 12 Kyangjin gompa

Rest or avial of the opportunity to go to Tserko RI (4980m) (3 hour climb) for one of the best views of the peaks of the valley: Langtang, the Marimoto the Gangchenpo, Shisha Pangma (8000 m), Dorje Lakpa, Yala Peak and Naya Kang, etc …). It’s 360 degrees view of mountains around you.

Day 13Lama Hotel (2600 m 4hrs 30min walk)

Descend down to the forest. You may see Assam monkeys. Overnight in Lodge

Day 14 Syabru (2350m 5hrs walk)

We go down to Bamboo Lodge. Then we go back through the cornfields and potato fields until we reach the very beautiful village of Yolmo Syabru. The windows of old houses are carved. Visit the monastery with beautiful paintings redone. Beautiful views of the Paldor, Ganesh Himal and the Tibetan peaks. Overnight in Lodge

Day 15 Dhunche (2000 m 3 hrs walk)

Walk along the track to join Dhunche, the largest town in the valley. Overnight in Lodge

Day 16 Kathmandu (1300m 7hrs drive)

Return to Kathmandu by private vehicle by the same route. Check in your hotel. Night in hotel

Day 17 Kathmandu

Day free to continue visiting the valley or make final purchases. Night in hotel

Day 18 Departure

Free time before transfer to the airport for your return flight home
