Day 1Kathmandu (1250m)

Arrival in Kathmandu, reception at airport and transfer to your hotel. Late afternoon guided walk through the old neighborhoods and around the former royal palace in Kathmandu. Nepal’s capital is a city made for the pleasure of discovery on foot.Within a few meters, you will make a leap of several centuries in history and discover the most striking contrasts.
The dinner will be offered by our agency in a cozy restaurant run by a family Tibeto-Nepalese.

Day 2 Kathmandu Valley

Morning tour of Boudhanath and Pashupathinath, about 4km from the center of Kathmandu.Pashupathinath, Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva is the most revered place of Nepal and is also nicknamed the little Benares Nepal! The famous stupa of Boudhanath, the largest in the world, is the Mecca of Buddhism with a concentration of Tibetan refugees. The visit is also a very good opportunity to visit a Tibetan Buddhist monastery.

Day 3Paro / Thimphu (2300m)( 55 km 1hrs 30 mins drive)

Transfer to board flight with Druk Air, the national airline of Bhutan. Beautiful flight along the Himalayan range and landing on the small airport in Paro. Your Bhutanese guide awaits you. Short drive to Thimphu. Beginning with visits to monasteries and Changangkhar Zilukha before ending the day in the shopping streets of the city.

Day 4Thimphu (2300 m)

Guided Tour: National Library with its texts and ancient manuscripts; Zorig Chusum institute where we learn all thirteen Bhutanese traditional craft techniques, folk museum and textile. You finish your visit with the Tashichhodzong, fortress-monastery, seat of government.

Day 5 Wangdi (1200 m)( 110 km 3 hrs 45min drive)

Early departure towards Dochu La (3100 m). The panorama of the Himalayas on a clear day is beautiful Bhutanese. Descent into the valley of Lobesa. Stop for a short walk through farms and terraced fields to the monastery of Chimi Lhakhang (45 m). Visit this famous temple founded in the fifteenth century Drukpa Kinley, the divine madman << >>. Arrival at Wangdi and discovery market. The valley is famous for its bamboo work, slate and stone. Arrive Punakha and visit the dzong, remarkable finesse, simplicity and elegance, like a jewel placed at the confluence of two rivers. Very important in the history of Bhutan, he saw the crowning of the King and the first is always the winter residence of the royal family.

Day 6 Trongsa (2500m) (140 km 4 hrs 30min drive)

Departure to Trongsa and the pass of Pele (3400 m). Beautiful road that rises between crops and villages with typical architecture. Vegetation changes with altitude. Descent to Trongsa and visit the impressive dzong, situated on a hillside above the river and has beautiful architecture with many courtyards and galleries. Only a few hours to get the beating heart of Bhutan Valley Bhumtang

Day 7Bhumthang (2500 m)( 70 km 2 hrs drive )

Before reaching Bumthang we will stop at the village of Zugney, renowned for its weaving of wool in bright colors. Lunch at Bumthang. The afternoon will be devoted to the discovery of Jakar dzong, built on top of a hill and temple of Jampa and Kurjey. These are the two oldest buildings in the area.

Day 8Monasteries and Tangbi Ngang / Bumthang (5h walk)

The Bumthang region is the cradle of Buddhism in Bhutan. Monasteries, the oldest of Bhutan and its hidden treasures are in the richest region, religiously speaking hike to get to explore this peaceful valley and visit some monasteries.

Day 9 Phobjika (2300 m)( 4hrs 30mins 85 km drive and 2hrs walk)

Route in reverse to Wangdi. The ascent of Pele before turning to a beautiful hanging valley. Stop in big style chorten Nepalese Chendebji. We enter the valley Phobjika. Gantey stop to visit the monastery completely renovated. Walk through the valley.

Day 10 Phobjika (4 hrs walk)

Discover the valley with a beautiful ride through the forest and several traditional villages.

Day 11 Paro (2350 m) (150 km 6-hrs drive)

We leave the valley of Wangdi Phobjika to go down to the neck and Dochu La (3100 m).Weather permitting, explore scenic Himalayan Bhutan with its many snow-capped peaks over 7000 meters (Masang Kang Kang Theri, Kangkar Puensum …). Lunch at Thimphu which is reached for the meal of midday. Continue to Paro. Short transfer this morning to Drukyel dzong (the dzong of victory). On clear days, one can see the pyramid of immaculate Jomolhari (7320 m). Walk towards Taktsang, Tiger’s Lair, suspended in a small temple cliff over 1,000 feet above the valley.This monastery is the most famous and most revered of the country. Back to Paro and visit the city: the dzong, the beautiful covered wooden bridge, the Ta-Dzong (National Museum) with its collections of ancient books, costumes, antique weapons, paintings, statues .. .Overnight at hotel. Day 12 Paro / Patan

Flight to Kathmandu. Home and short transfer to Patan. Also known as Lalitpur name “city of fine arts,” this city is a veritable outdoor museum, with its palaces, pagodas, monasteries, temples and shrines. For centuries, artisans are working metals. Their reputation shone in all the Himalayan kingdoms. We visit the villages with houses of brick and traditional Bungamati Kokana, located a few miles from Patan. They are surrounded by the most beautiful rice fields of the valley.
Night at Newa Chen or similar.

Day 13 Kathmandu

Back in Kathmandu. On arrival transfer to hotel and free time. Night at Tushita Rest House or similar
